Like[/URL]Where the term " Bass Scale" came from. Long, long ago,the village fisherman came home with the days catch (mostly bass) and set to work cleaning his catch. He prepared the table by covering it with some of his neighbors paper, seems he had left in a hurry and forgot to take it with him. The fisherman cleaned his fish, cleaned up the mess the best he could and headed out to sell his fish. On his way out he took the neighbors papers back to him after brushing them off a bit.
The neighbor came to the door, and happy to have his paperz tone, post: 20734151, member: 314771"]s back ,thanked the fisherman and went back to practicing for the great feast that his band was playing for next Saturday. He absent mindedly set the papers on his music stand and grabbed his bass. When he looked at his music stand he noticed spots on his paper. He had planned to go to the market, and had drawn lines on the paper to make a list of items needed and the dots fell in a strange order along the lines. He also noticed the dots moved along the lines in an up and down wavy pattern. He also noticed the lines and spaces matched the layout of strings and frets. He started playing, assigning notes to dots. To his amazement they sounded very musical.
The fisherman stopped by when he got back and apologised about the bass scales on his friends papers. Far from being mad, his friend was quite happy and now had a name for his new discovery.
