Lets talk bass

Hi, fellow bassplayers, looking forward to sharing experiences, gear knowledge og technique.
I make most of my living outside the music industry these days, but still enjoy playing music - in a couple of original bands but mostly on Youtube

Hello Thomas....congratulations on your wonderful musicianship my friend. You make me proud to be a bass player!!

I love how you play with such authenticity, conviction and strength. You are an inspiration to me and my daughter and son...we all play bass!!

I am currently gigging with several bands doing one ,usually two gigs a week, mostly jazz, alittle funk, some reggae...its a nice variety. I get an occasional pick up gig...last week it was bluegrass!

I play a stingray 4 string, 3 band fretted as my main instrument and have just purchased a new stingray 4 string fretless with the piezo pickup. A wonderful sounding instrument...great for ballads and walking.

Im an unschooled musician and my playing style is fairly simple i would say. I dont have any flashy chops (but would like some...haha) Ive learned most of my stuff by listening and playing along to my favorite music. I still have a long way to go . I love Jamerson, Bernard Edwards, Louis Johnson, Larry Graham, Jaco...all the cats. Niels Henning is my favorite cat on upright. In fact he is the best bassist ,electric or upright that ive ever heard. The GREAT DANE!!!

keep up the good work my friend...you are an inspiration to bass players all round the world!!!

God bless you

just thought id like to thank you for your work on youtube, even though i dont know music theory and i cant read notes (teaching myself, cut me some slack haha) your videos are still a great source of inspiration, and you make a great defence for all those bassists who use picks :P
