Levin Brothers

I saw the Levin Brothers last night in a sports bar in Morristown, NJ. An excellent performance. Tony Levin played an old (possibly modified) Gibson EB-2 most of the night, but also an NSD upright.

It's hard to beat sitting ten feet from a musician you've admired for years as they work and then meeting them. Two weeks ago it was Victor Wooten. Last night, TL.

Who's the flute player? My old high school bandmate Erik Lawrence held the woodwind chair on the first Levin Brothers album and tour, but they replaced that role with a guitarist for the next couple tours.

Can't say I've ever heard of Tony playing an EB-2 before!
