I'm a big Dillinger fan, and I had the joy of seeing them live at the Camden spot on the Vans Warped Tour. They played a great set, a good mix of old and new materials. Thanks to my friend Nate, I got dragged up to front row, center, where I was able to see the performance close up (also, the lead singer landed on me when he decided to stage dive
).
I've gotta say, of all the bassists I saw that day, Liam was by far the most impressive. Sure, some of the other guys pulled out some interesting fills or had their creative moments, but Liam was all over the place, doing speed runs on par with those of Ben Weinman (the lead guitarist), which were perhaps more impressive because he primarily stayed lower than the 7th fret.
I managed to get an okay look at his pedalboard and live rig. I distinctly remember seeing a Big Muff (no shocker), some kind of Boss delay pedal, and a Morley something-or other. Not sure exactly what it was, sorry

Anyway, I figured I should take the time to post the one picture I took all day, in conjunction with the review you just read.

His shirt said something in Hebrew, though I couldn't make out exactly what it said. The first word began with samech and ended with resh, while the second word was gimel vav lamed dalet (remember, Hebrew is read from right to left, so the second word is the fully exposed one). If anyone has a translation or meaning, it would be awesome.
Also, just to open it up for conversation: who else is a Dillinger Escape Plan/ Liam Wilson fan?
