Light Tension Gold Strings - Do They Exist?

So I'm putting all gold hardware on a fretless, and the last item I need to figure out is which strings to use. I want gold strings but it seems to me like there are only two decent options, the Optima 24k rounds and the La Bella 760FGS flats. I'm not interested in Aurora strings, they seem cheap.

Reading reviews, it appears that the Optima and La Bella strings are both pretty high tension, which is something I'm not really fond of. I'm wondering if I've overlooked a set of gold strings, or whether my info on the tension of the strings I mentioned is incorrect.

Optimas are reportedly stiffish, but they do come in light gauges. Now, if you're absolutely unwilling to "compromise" on gauge because reasons, they also do a "Maxiflex" series you could check out.

I don't know if tapewounds are out of the question for you, but you might want to consider the LaBella White Gold tapes. I think they use basically the same alloy as their gold flats, but in this case, in a roundwound encased in a clear nylon wrap. I, too, have a gold-hardware fretless and I tried these. Even though I like tapewounds in principle, these didn't sound good enough to me to keep them on, even though the gold esthetics were very nice. But such things are subjective, and you may find you like them. They're low tension and quite flexible -- the 50-105 very much so (maybe too much for some) and the 60-115 somewhat less so.

The Maxiflex strings have been difficult to find, so I took the plunge and ordered the La Bella white gold tapes. I hope I'll dig the sound, but I'm determined to slap some gold strings on this bass! Thanks for the guidance.

Demoing this pickguard- but yeah the look/sound great, you have to roll back the bass knob if u want harmonics to come thru as clearly as brand new nickels tho

GHS PressureWound Bronze lights are sure nice strings- light gauge, low tension, but the tone is really full (though they are lower output on electrics).
