Kiesel can make you a bass (headless or standard) where you spec lightweight wood species, you can get it chambered, and you can pay an upcharge to have them select the lightest boards of that species. You can also get it made short scale, which will be less material and weight as well.
They made me an 8-string guitar (vader) and it's 5.5 lbs. Obviously not a bass, but super light even for a guitar.
