Beautiful Lightwave Sabre VL5 Fretless, flame maple top, chambered ash body with a trans black finish. I had this listed previously as a feeler but have decided to sell it for $995 including CONUS shipping, Protec gig bag and all the tools and accessories that came with the bass. I bought this bass new directly from Lightwave Systems for $1,595 in April of 2011 shortly after seeing Ed Friedland's review which is still available on YouTube. Here is the link:

Can you confirm if this bass has the most recent version of the Lightwave pickups? There have been improvements made to these pickups since they were first introduced, specifically the string height adjustment mechanism. On the newest version you don't need to loosen the strings to adjust the individual saddle heights. If you could take a close-up photo of the bridge I could probably tell just by looking.

These are cool basses. I have owned several of them over the years and it "might" be time to consider another one.

According to the manual (and my own experience) "The action can be adjusted while the strings are under tension." That's a direct quote so I believe this is the latest version.
