What about something like this. You can get these up to about 110 pounds so you can feel like your gear is heavier.

I believe I still have the saddle mounting system in stock for the ShuttleMax amps. That would be the best way to professionally mount the amp to one of the cabinets, keeping the amp removable with a couple of thumb screws. PM me for information.Hello again... Thanks for all the colorful repliesTo be more specific, I use a Genz Benz ShuttleMax 9.2 amp on top of 2 Baer ML-112 cabs. Those of you who are unfamiliar with these cabinets, they have a handle that protrudes from the top of the cab...and the handle prevents the feet on the bottom of the amplifier from making contact with the top of the cabinet. I have played around in the past with positioning them in a way where the bottom cabinet lays vertically and the top cabinet lays horizontally to do away with the handle challenges but still, I only 7 pounds or so that little amplifier tends to move more than I like. I have used a rolled up black towel in the past and it appears that I will do so again.
Thanks for all your help.
...I had suggested Velcro pajamas and matching / mated upholstery but was reminded that this bordered on elder-abuse.

I always thought that the feet raising the amp up a bit offered room for the outer case itself to perhaps act like a heat sink in an overall thermal management approach. I fully recognize that it's likely minimal, heat rises, and it would be totally passive from an external perspective. So can I safely infer from your answer that the active thermal management would simply kick-on slightly sooner and the head would be fine? You know me, always curious...Not an issue with amps that are fan cooled and do not have vents on the bottom surface. (for example, Subway, Shuttle, Streamliner, ShuttleMax, NeoPak)
