Line 6 G10 Series Wireless Recall

I received mail from Line 6 yesterday on the recall for my G10S. It's really a firmware update. It's designed to prevent overheating during charging, but I wonder whether it slows the charging rate down.

I need the fast charge rate though. Anybody knows if this slows down the charging rate, or what? I doubt the transmitter has a heat sensor, but probably charges via an algorithm matched to the the specific battery.

It’s a fire hazard. They’re going to reduce the charging rate or charging capacity, or both. If the fire hazard issue is less important than fast charging to you, the answer is clear. :meh:

Friend of mine and wife have a Chevy Bolt EV. There’s an urgent service bulletin on it to update the charging system to limit it to 90% capacity. They refuse to have the update done because hey only a few Bolts have actually gone up in flames.

I got an email from musiciansfriend. I'll do the update since I have a day between uses usually. Never noticed it being even warm but I leave it plugged in pretty much all the time so if it does in the middle of the day, or night, that could be bad.
