I put fresh Duracell Procell alkaline batteries in both of my TBP-12 transmitters this morning and turned them both on. They are still both on 8 hours later. The "old" one that I have used at gigs still shows 1 hour time remaining. The new one (this is the first time I have even put batteries in it) shows 40 minutes left.

FWIW, the G50 receiver is not on.

I'm very happy with the battery life, just wish they wouldn't die while not in use. Guess I'll just make a habit of removing the batteries after use.

Why would I leave them in? Really?? Well, convenience for one. Secondly, my gigs rarely last more than an hour, so I would expect to get a few gigs out of the batteries. Modern batteries have a decent shelf life so I expect that they would be good to go after sitting for 30 days or so.

Do you remove the battery from your car every day? Your flashlight? Active bass?

Your car recharges the battery as you drive, last time I looked, my G50 doesn't have an onboard charger.
I do not find it an inconvenience to remove them.
Again
removing the batteries is just what I do and it is the best way to extend battery life IMVHO.
