Line 6 Pod X3 random clicking

Hi,
I was recently given one of the Line 6 Pod X3 Live's for Christmas, it sounds great and all, but whenever i first touch the strings it makes these clicking sounds... Makes it a real pain to play harmonics, as the clicking overpowers the harmonic. Any suggestions?

Hmmmm, theres nothing huge happening with the gain, its more when i first pluck a still string or play gently (or play harmonics) it makes a click, i tried running a bunch of the presets too and they all had the same clicking problem, in fact even if i turn off all the patches but still run my bass through the x3 i get the click. I tried using it with a guitar and found that the click is still there, however its much quieter than with bass.

Strange. Im stumped then. Is your bridge properly grounded and/or bass electronics shielded? I know that if I turn stuff up (which is dangerous anyways) I get a slight pop when I *just* touch the strings. Theres kindof a hum when im not touching anything metal on the bass, and when I do, it goes away, but not after leaving with a slight pop.

I don't know whether thats from a lack of grounding or lack of shielding.

Hmmm, that sounds about right, I don't actually know anything about grounding or shielding but my uncle is an electrician so I might ask him to have a look. The other possibility I thought of is interference, aparently fluoro lights and TV monitors cause problems. I have a wireless satellite dish on my roof for broadband and maybe that's doing something...
