Hello,

first of all - I'm a complete musical beginner, so bear with me please

If you have any experience with Line 6 UX2 please help.

I've connected my bass guitar and my computer speakers (with subwoofer) to the UX2. I'm getting sound from it (when I'm playing music from YouTubeetc.), but the bass just...doesn't sound right.

The sound when I play is obviously amplified (both on headphones and on the speakers), but I'm not hearing that famous fender precision growl at all, just the sound of strings (I have an american standard).

It could be a result of me not knowing how to play it properly just yet, or something else altogether - I'd appreciate any pointers.

I'm using bass amp from the POD Farm and I can hear bass when I play something on windows media player.

He meant to adjust the virtual knobs on the amp (the middle button in the group left of Line 6 logo). Those have the main impact on the sound.
I also have the UX2 and I also always found the sound a bit too pure. The models sound just too fake for me, and even getting a Roland Micro Cube Bass was better for my home YouTube play alongs. And when I record on my computer, I just use the UX2 as an interface for FL Studio to record in, and I run my bass through the same effect pedals I do when playing with our band - Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe being the most important part of that sound chain.
