Line6 Toneport GX

[SRT80]

I just bought the toneport gx. This thing is pretty cool....even if I just use it as a practice amp for quiet practice. I installed audacity to try and play around with recording. What I did was through the toneport, set the sound I want and then I click play track to play along with a song. When I record this through audacity and playback, only the bass records and no music. Anyone know how to record with music?

You could import the music into Audacity, make sure it starts at the exact same moment as the bass track. When you export to mp3 these are automatically merged.

Ya, start off with the track in audacity, and record to that.

Thanks for the info. I figured out how to import the audio. The only bad part is, When I'm recording, I can't hear both the track and my bass at the same time because I have to have the headphones hooked into the gearbox to hear my bass, but then, I can't hear the track music coming from audacity. So, I have to record by listening to the music track through my speakers and just play the bass hooked up, but can't hear what I'm playing....like acoustic.
