Linking a Rumble 100 with a Rumble 500

I have a Rumble 100 and am considering buying a Rumble 500v3, I was wondering if I connect the two together will I get 600watts? Also I have read various opinions on the 2x10 of the 500 v3 breaking up at volume, would linking the two eliminate this so that if we do play somewhere and I need more volume I won't lose tone.

I link 2 100s together- Amp 1 FX send -> Amp 2 FX Return. Works great, but they are evenly matched. In theory it would also work to connect 100 + 500.

In practice, IDK how that would pan out. You only get 350w from the 500c as it is. Linking them, you may be limited by the 100, only getting a fraction of the power from the 500.

I would think the 500c + 210 extension cab is the way to go, giving you 410 @ 500w

I don't see how. Signal level is signal level.
But unless you are anxious to have a spare amp I would have thought selling the 100 to buy a matching extension cabinet would be the more logical choice. But personally I can't imagine ever needing more than the 2*10.

Thanks, I wasn't sure because I read someone saying that 2 x 10 start to fart when you turn the volume up, we are a pub band but quite powerful and the 100 hasn't been able to handle it although I love the sound ata rehearsal, so I want to keep the rumble 100 sound, but just louder and more punchy. I did wonder if the 1 x 15 would be too boomy.

Yeh, I'm thinking that, but if I sell the 100 and buy a 500, it itbest to buy the 2 x 10 version or the 1 x15 to start.

I’m confused. The Fender Rumble 500 combo is a 2x10 only. The 200 is a 1x15 and the 100 is a 1x12.

The 500 2x10 won’t fart out. I think you need to sell the 100 and buy the 500 with an extension cab if you want more volume. The 500 plus the Fender 2x10 extension cab will get you the full 500 watts with no futzing with effects loops and what not.
