Link Removed. Dave Montgomery (TB handle dravenzouk) is a luthier in the stricter sense of building many different kinds of stringed instruments, both acoustic and electric. He's currently building me a very unusual 8-string bass. He's really into unusual instruments, and I've been really happy with my experience with him so far.
I'll have to look that up. I use Adobe GoLive for site creation. I'm a graphic artist by day... although lately I'm Mister Mom by day...
Well I've only built 5 so far and my site is not that great either, but I'd like to be included. 
The gallery's are pretty well documented of the last few builds. I've built one for a customer, 3 for me, and 1 in stock at a local music store, so that should count for something right?

I disagree. I have worked on a few electric guitars as well but I am a bass builder. I have never built an acoustic instrument to me I would have to do at least that before considering myself a luthier. tom

It doesn't say they need to be acoustic. The Guild of American Luthiers regularly features solid body builders, even some who build electric basses exclusively. You people need to stop thinking lesser of yourselves!

I'm a luthier and I haven't built any acoustic instruments. I make solid body basses and guitars. I also belong to the Guild of American Luthiers and A.S.I.A. They seem to think I'm a luthier too!
Acoustic guitars require some new skills, like bending wood (which I have done), but the rest is just more of the same... carving necks and stuff. You just need to learn the skills for each instrument. Like working on violins has it's own set of skills. It's all lutherie.
