With various basses, Kay, Fender, Carvin, Cort, Essex, Brice, Harley Benton going through it.

Wearing different strings, Spirocore weich, Rotosound Swing bass 66, Dunlop Super Brights MM, Trace Elliot, La Bella 1954 flats, GHS Boomers, D'Addario.

With working cords of undetermined origins.

Sometimes assisted by a cat 😐...

This sounds like AI pseudo-science. “System” and “rig” are equally valid. Why focus on something negative? Just post your essential rig or don’t.
The point was ... I have never heard anyone call this a system.
rig is extremely commonplace in usage.

Last night system just rubbed me as weird and uncommon in the context.

I guess I'll quit being pedantic and put in a post of what I feel are the true things that are important in making what I feel is "my tone"

As far as what I've owned:
EB MM StingRay 5 H (various strings over the years - mostly DR Lo-Rider Nickels or DR Sunbeams);
Demeter VTBP-201S;
QSC PLX1602;
Bergantino HT322 &/or EA CX-310.

As far as a Dream Rig:
Roscoe Century Standard Plus, Nordstrand Zen Blade pickups, & John East Uni Pre, with Dunlop SS Flatwound strings;
Bergantino HP2 Ultra;
Bergantino HG410X.

EBMM Pino Reissue fretless Stingray
DR Wooten Pure Blues Roundwounds
Mesa Bass 800D
Bergantino NXT210 or NXT212
Mogami instrument and speakon cables

Pedalboard.

I prefer american P-basses, but modify them
always passive PU's
split P, Fender vintage
bridge is another well known brand of PU, quad coil MM HB with a switch to make it a dual P PU setup
wired as vol, blend and tone
stainless steel strings
2 and 3 finger picking
a very tweaked setup. clean when played light and a bit of fret buzz when digging in
good quality cables
Helix floor, gain set to start breaking up when digging in
tone is tuned for FOH or recording feed
other output is EQ'ed to flatten the response of the cabs so it sounds like FOH/recording tone
700 watt power amp for clean headroom
ending at 1x15 and 2x10 cabs

It's more of an approach or methodology than it is a system

I believe it will be helpful to list our favorite bass system and our music genre(s) instead of just individual elements. Photos optional.
Your favorite strings may be Super Slinky’s. But, if you’re playing heavy metal on an active Dingwall 5 string and I’m playing country rock on a passive 4 string Fender Jazz , your string advice may not help me move toward the perfect sound.

A request: please don’t list 5 pedals. If possible, keep it to one or two essentials. Thank you.
Okay, here I go:

Labella Flats Deep Talkin Bass strings on a
4 string 2019 Fender USA Professional Lightweight Ash Jazz played through a
Trickfish Bullhead.5K and Trickfish 210 cabinet.
Also, I recently bought a Fender cable which made an amazing difference to an already great sound.
Pedal: Sources Audio After Shock Bass Distortion (rarely used)

These flats through this setup allow the Jazz to sound like an on top of the mix Jazz or it can easily sound like Motown.

Genres: Classic Rock
Contemporary Christian
Gimmie a bottle of anything and a glazed donut, and I’ll plug any bass lying around into any amp I can find, to play Post-crust ambient death cuddle-core neo folk sludge Piedmont jump. But none of that lo-fi stoner swing ska crap. That’s so 1998, and for poseurs.

I'm playing either a stingray 5hh or an Ibanez sr2605
through a Littlemark 58r into an 8ohm markbass102 pure. I'm thinking about adding another 8ohm 102 pure.

I use an hx stomp xl, a Sansamp BDDI, and a third pedal for compression that shall not be named (just kidding, it's an mxr m87)

Edit:
I forgot to say, I like those D'addario nyxl strings
