Litterbugs really piss me off.

I really dislike litter. When i use the van for a few days i have to rake out the back before i put it to bed.
My rule is unless it’s life threatening at that moment it does not go out the window.
The last thing i threw out the window was a bat that flew in my open side window and slammed into my chest one night. I knew it was something alive by the way it was moving as it tumbled into my lap then on into the floor. I hit the dome light and saw it thrashing around on the floor and the lizard brain engaged and i just reached down, scooped it up and flipped right back out the window it came through.
So why does a bat come flying thru your side window while driving? Curious minds would like to know.

That was my question. It was late and dark, no moon and i was trying to stay awake on a small backroad in south Louisiana so i had my window down so the (kinda sorta) cool breeze would help with my desire to nod off. Stopping was on the bill as soon as i found a place when i heard a thump and felt something bounce off my chest and roll down my chest into my lap then wiggle off into the floor.
I later decided the initial thump was the bat hitting my big west coast truck mirror then tumbling through the window but that is pure after the fact speculation.

Wow...I thought that stuff only happened while driving on L.A. freeways late at night. Glad you came out of it ok.

It was a small bat, somewhere between a field mouse and a barn rat, and i was motivated to get it out of my truck so any damage would have been discovered after it was gone.
I’m still grateful it didn’t hit me in the face.

You can't make some people care about others, and many you can't even shame. They'll do it on purpose just to throw it in your face, you darn hippie.

I hear you.
My yard is full of chicken poop and dog poop.
My 2 neighbors have 20 chickens and 4 dogs collectively.
If it ain't on the lawn it's on the driveway and walkway.
I'm getting even and lured in a fox. 3 chickens missing recently. Ooops.

Our dogs generally poop on the side of the road by the woods, so I get a stick and flip it deep in there (in an area where nobody walks). The town also has installed dispensers for biodegradable plastic bags, so people walking their dogs I. Town or the dog park can clean up. MOST people use them. I always keep one with me if I am in a public area.

I view this situation as closely related to the pig people who can't be bothered to return shopping carts to the corral 20 steps away, but instead abandon them in the parking lot.

When I enter a store, I try to always return at least one cart to a cart corral just to help out another motorist.

I was at a local supermarket yesterday and when I parked, a very attractive lady was pushing her empty shopping cart back to the corral about 6 parking spaces from her car. As she was walking back, I noticed directly across from me was a shopping cart laying on its back in the middle of a parking space only a few steps away from the corral. I thought to myself that somebody took more effort to pull the cart backward and lay it down than to walk about 2 parking spaces to put it into the corral.
