Little help, 09 Squier Affinity P Bass Natural finish

I can't seem to ID this bass. The serial number is a 2009 Squier made in China. I can not find a natural finish P bass for this year. In any catalog. Was this a "Special Run" or ???

I guess anything is possible and it's some special run, but most likely is an after market body (or a different Squier series body) that someone screwed a Squier Affinity neck to.

There are literally dozens of aftermarket parts bass bodies on eBay. Do you own it or is it for sale? If it's for sale, ask the current owner. If it's yours, take the neck off and see if there are any distinguishing marks in the neck pocket. All Parts, Mighty Mite, and Warmoth bodies will be branded in the neck pocket.

Pretty sure somebody stuck an affinity neck on a reproduction body. the multi-piece construction seems off, though it could also have been stripped and refinished.

It's for sale. Owner said they bought it new, as seen from Guitar Center, never learned to play and it's been in a closet ever since. She seems sincere. It's a bit of a drive from me, so maybe best to pass. Thx.

G.C. often did special run Squiers, not sure of this is one of them though. Decent looking bass though.
