Double Bass Little Mark 250

alright, I'm currently running a Gage Realist on my Shen SB200 through a Little Mark 250 and Mark New York 121. I'm going for a nice Niels sound (of course its way harder without the tube head) and its been a pain in the ass to EQ this head well. Any suggestions????

If I remember correctly, all the Markbass amps have a 500 K ohm input impedance. I think that if you get some kind of Buffer Pre Amp like the FDeck HPF Preamp (Version 2) it will improve the tone quality. As far as getting the Niels sound that's a matter of taste. He was a virtuoso and a great musician. The VLE and VPF controls are a little tricky to set as well. Others can jump in here as I couldn't get them to work with DB.

I'm using the CMD 121P combo, which is basicaly the Little Mark II into the same cab.
With my Realist I set the low mids to around 9:30, the high mids around 11, bass and highs flat. I engage the VPF filter just a little, around 9 o'clock. This way I get quite pleasing and natural sound.
The 500Kohm isn't an issue with Markbass amps (I don't know why is that), however a pre like the Fdeck one can help, especially when you need to get very loud.
