a used mixwix (no matter how old) beats a new analog anything under probably a grand!
it also way beats a used anything else in its class, because (unlike other small boards like the carvin, peavey, spirit, yamaha, mackie, and whatever else) it's actually fixable; it's built with each channel on its own removable board like big-dog pro mixers, while the rest are all on one large PC board; if one of these others gets a problem, it's basically time to throw it away.
that said, if anybody in the band has an ipad, then the mackie 1608 is the one to beat! easier to use than just about all of these, and for as much as or even less than that used mixwiz and the EQs, fx units, comps and gates and such you'd need to use it to its best.
my genuine british-made mixwiz is slumbering in storage while the band's 1608 is on the job instead, and i don't miss it for a second.
