This is a nice review for us Peavey fans. The American made Cirrus was arguably the finest production bass made in America when they were in being constructed in Mississippi.

This is a nice review for us Peavey fans. The American made Cirrus was arguably the finest production bass made in America when they were in being constructed in Mississippi.
Had a bubinga 4 for a while.
Fantastic build quality and playability, I just found it way to mid forward no matter what I did.
Hated selling it.

I’ll say it again. Peavey & Carvin we’re the best USA made quality and value for the money .
The Cirrus and T-40 are outstanding !!

I have an obsession for wood. The musical kind.
I miss the days of affordable Carvins (as opposed to Kiesel). Used Carvins, and some Kiesels, are the way to go, no question.

I had a one-off Cirrus that was BIG-sounding...hog body, wenge top, hog/purpleheart neck with an ebony board. Sold it to make a decent profit, but man was it nice. I have a GV with Pope preamp now, so I can't complain.
Hard to find in my area. I almost had one though but the neck was twisted and I decided to pass on it. Great sounding and playing basses. Was lightweight and balanced nicely.
I have had two Cirruses. Both were fours. I never could find a five when I had the money for one. That said, I would take another Cirrus four in a heartbeat! That 35” scale really allows them to handle detuning nicely. I kept mine tuned DGCF. I forgot how much my first one weighed, but my last one was 7.1lbs.

Your bass is beautiful, stunning, georgous, untouchable! The Cirrus is no slouch either!
The Cirrus 6 Redwood with maple fretboard is my unicorn, probably the only other bass I would spend money on at this point of my life. Currently playing a Peavey TL-6 and it's pretty amazing in it's own right! Having some cosmetic work being done to my Millennium 5 currently, but my stable of Peavey basses never lets me down.
That's very nice. I love my black stained flame maple Ibanez for the same reason. Really pretty but subtle in doing so.
I'd like a US Cirrus 5 or 6, but they're rare as rocking horse poo down here and I really don't need it.
These have definitely been on my radar for a while. These always remind me of the Carvin's from around the same time, which i think are fantastic.
Would definitely love to have one of these, or possibly a GV for a carbon fiber neck.

Have had a couple Cirruses (Cirrii?) over the years. Loved 'em! Rocking a USA Millennium and GV now...equally fine! Played the GV all night last night for NYE gig.

I am head over heels for my cirrus and hope to get 1 more as a backup before the pieces skyrocket even more. I’m really excited for the Czech release (if that ever even happens)
