locking bass tuners that fit fender necks

Searching everywhere for locking tuners to fit my american standard Jazz. I have Sperzels on my Strat and love them. But I dont want to have the tuner-holes doweled and re-drilled on my Jazz bass. Why would Sperzel only make bass tuners for 7/16" specs? Any help?

They're hard (if not impossible) to find because there is really nothing to gain by having locking tuners on a bass.

With a guitar, its an entirely different thing. I have yet to own a bass that had tuning slip at the tuner when the strings were properly wound. Regular quality bass tuners stay in tune forever if you don't bump them once the strings are broken in, assuming the neck isn't flexing at different temperature/humidities.

And is it not the case, Eric, that locking tuners wouldn't help the neck flexing issue?

For me its not a string slippage or neck flex issue. I like the quickness and ease of string changing and streaching as well as a shorter A-B contact that has more response.
