Hey folks. I'm from India and am shifting base to London in a few weeks and think it would be nice to see fellow bass players there and catch up. I have absolutely no idea about the music(jazz mostly)scene there and would love to get an insight into that as well. Company for drinks and good music(listening or playing, either way) is always appreciated and welcome as well.
I've been playing for a while as well, though work does not allow me to maintain as much consistency in practice as I'd want. Also, if you don't mind me asking, I've also been looking around online for a good deal on a used Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass, but to no avail, most deals that I get online are pretty much equal to almost full price in the US, due to import taxes et all, so if you could point me in the right direction in that regard,I'd be much obliged.
On a different note, I have a fretless Squier, very nice for a first time fretless which is keeping me company while I wait for a good deal on a Marcus Miller Fender. I was wondering if anyone here be interested in jams. And oh, in case your wondering, my current gear involves a Squier Fretless Jazz, a Presonus Audiobox, an Ebow, and a Melodica. How good i am on the instrument is relative I guess, not important right now.
So, in a nutshell, I'd be needing company/info on jams, gigs and music stores.
