Nope. They sent a generic email stating they filled the position, and would keep my resume on file…Late to this thread -- have to find out -- did you ever get an interview?

Maybe? It has my work history. I don’t post on Linked In. I follow businesses and business leaders. And I have maybe 50 people in my network?Do you have a strong LinkedIn profile?
I knew a full time, successful 3rd party recruiter. First cut: It was standard you had to have strong LinkedIn to even have a shot
In my experience, LinkedIn has had about 0 value and my actual network, the people I actually do know and have worked with, have always been valuable. LinkedIn has sadly become as much of a social spam site with attention/like-seeking behavior as the other platforms.
The need for 100% remote will limit options and without a good reference in the company, you'll be fighting an uphill battle, unless you're a proven specialist in your field that has limited supply and big demand.
Happy for you and your turn around!I would be still be unemployed and homeless but for LinkedIn.
LinkedIn enabled me to build enough of a consulting practice to keep things going until I found a job - and LinkedIn was what helped me get my employer to actually look at my application.
One direct message to someone I didn’t know, and 24 hours later I was interviewing for a job that I knew I wanted for the past 15 years.
It’s what you make of it.
That's true. But over the years I've seen it slide into what seems like a pseudo Instagram like-harvesting platform, unfortunately.I would be still be unemployed and homeless but for LinkedIn.

I have zero content and zero showcasing.I scroll past that nonsense, but it’s good practice to interact (comment/like) where it makes sense to do so because that factors into the visibility you get on your own content.
But the key here, is that you want your content to showcase what you know and what you can do.
I have zero content and zero showcasing. For me the platform is (was?) purely for connections and seeing what people are up to. It'll vary per industry and but in my field the whole social media don't doesn't get much traction. So far I've gotten every job through my "real" network and I'm making good money, etc, so no real reason to expand more into the social media side of things.
