Greetings!
Been a player since the tender age of 14 (42 years ago!) A few decades of semi-pro, primarily cover bands. Started a new business (furniture and cabinetry design/build, and of course, many of my own speakers!). Dedicated to that for the last 15 years, but it's running well and I missed the heck out of playing live, though best friend drummer and I have recorded originals, so I never quit playing in the interim.
Just joined a local artist who recorded an album of originals in Nashville. Very well written and produced by a hitmaker she had connections to, so it stands on it's own for content and radio-ready production. Plus, has lots of good connections and we're playing higher profile/paying gigs than I ever did 15 years ago.
Every time I look at updating something in the process of getting back into the live gig saddle, Google sends me here, so I finally joined.
Bought a new bass, built a new speaker stack, and still refining amplification needs.
Really like the vibe and of course, topics here, so I'll stick around and hope to make some new friends.
Thanks for being here - hope I can contribute some of my decades of experience to others as much as I'm learning here already.
