Long time lurker decided to say hello

Hi there, I'm John and a guitar addict both Bass & Guitar.

I used to be a pro musician from '88 to '94 primarily on rhythm/slide guitar but owned a few basses for composing purposes over the years including a beautiful 1982 Squier JV P Bass, which I stupidly pawned like an idiot at the start of covid. Hey... Musician gotta pay rent, right? I'm still kicking myself for that.

A few months a go I got the urge to start writing for a new band I joined I picked up a Harley Benton MM84a (Stringray copy) and found myself totally drawn in again, (band impolded but at least I remembered my love of bass again)

I'll play virtually any style of music but my main Styles are rock, blues & some heavy metal for stress relief.

Bass player hall of fame:

Leon Wilkinson
Donald “Duck” Dunn
