Greetings. After viewing a recent video from a teacher who had chosen to start using a wireless transmitter for his bass to amp, I thought this might be great for me too. I have my amp to my left of my sitting practicing seat and computer and cannot move the amp to a different location for various reasons. Routing the cord to the other side could be done, but in my layout, a bit of a pain, but I think if these wireless systems work and are not too clunky, it might be a good solution to try. Yes. I used the old Xvive's before but they were 2.4 GHz (instead of 5.8) and they didn't "like" active basses. Bought these about 6 months ago, gig and practice with them every week and have never had an issue. We played one place with a bigass neon light above the stage, these were far better than a regular cable at avoiding noise.

You could just use a noise gate. My nice Fender P hums, my shielded Jazz hums, my active Ibanez hums on our stage, and I’m using a quality 10’ Mogami cable to a Zoom B3n to a Sansamp for DI. I gave up and just enable a noise gate first thing in my digital signal chain.

I think they advertise 5 hours continuous. I usually play 4 set of about 45 minutes and have never had one die on me yet.

I posted in the thread @lug showed. I've been using the Lekato 5.8Ghz ($59) for years with active and passive basses, works great, lasts for hours. I haven't used a cable in all that time, though I do keep one in my bag just in case. I actually just bought the Getaria version ($55) that has lights on the front to show which of four channels is being used. They are both USB rechargeable.

Try the JOYO wireless on Amazon. I bought a set just to try in my office (so I wouldn't need to keep a cable).

I tried it in tons of places, works great.

At $40, it's a quick easy try.

I find it very liberating to not be tied to the cable.

I use the Summina branded one - at home. Should be the same tech as the Joyo. Very dependable.
