Longtime reader, finally joined

Hey everybody. My name's Nick, I've been poking around this site for a long time, and felt like I should finally join up. I've been playing bass since I was in middle school, which is about 9 or 10 years ago.

I play locally in a couple hard rock groups, they're all cool guys. I've been playing in bands since about 2003 or so, not very long, but I'm still having a good time.

Anyway, I hope I can contribute to the conversation, I'm into a lot of hard rock and metal from the 70s on up, and I'm Thunderbird type of guy.

Catch you guys around

Hey, thanks

All depends on the situation I guess, I like the clean sounds i get, i can really get the low end cranking through my stuff, but it never hurts to throw on some of the boxes I have on the side, I have a chorus, and a distortion. I hardly use the second, only to fill in space if there's not much goin on outside of the rhythm section, and even then, it's a light addition.
