Looking for a head. please help!

Hey guys. Im looking for a head that would give me a smooth sound as of Chi Cheng from Deftones...but with a lil click from the high end. im looking to got tube
I Currently play on a:
Ernie Ball Sting Ray 4
Hartke 4x10 XL
Peavey 15 bottom

Please help....im looking for alot of bass and crunch...something of a monsterous sound

What kind of budget are we looking at?

You mentioned you wanted a tube head.

The price on tube heads varies alot, your best bet is to look used.

If you check the used market you could pick up a mesa boogie bass 400+ for 800-900$.

You might also want to look into a Traynor-yba 200 you can find those new for around 500$ as well.

I don't know the Def-tone, but the Mesa 400 sounds awesome. So does an SVT, and a Traynor YBA200.

If its the Chi tone you are after I would go with Ampeg. I seen Deftones a few months back and Chi was using the new SVT-VR heads. If you can't wait till these hit the stores then consider an Ampeg SVT CL.
