Whenever I hear "Modern Jazz Bass", I think Sadowsky. I mean, Will Lee and Marcus pretty much the defined the sound of the modern, active Jazz Bass.
Yes sir. It would be nice indeed ... but definitely outside of my range.
My vote would go for a used Geddy (I'm not sure if MIM has the same neck as MIJ) and add a Sadowsky preamp. It would set you back about $1,000, but you'd have exactly what you want...
And the original Geddy remains original!
Good idea. But I still would like to have something "different", possibly "as good as" but still different. (impossible to achieve? maybe, but worth a trial in my opinion)
