LOOKING FOR A NEW COMBO AMP

So here's the deal. I'm looking for a new amp, a combo... I don´t gig, in fact, I'm not planning on taking the amp out of my room. Right now I own a Peavey Max 110 (20 W.), I think it sounds just fine, however, even for my room, I could use a little bit more volume. I like to play loud, and play over albums. How much more watts should I consider to get more volume? Is a 60 W. combo going to be enough? These are the options I'm considering at the moment.

Peavey Max 115 (60 W, 1x15)
Warwick Blue Cab 60 (60W, 1x12)
Gallien Krueger Backline 112 (100W, 1x12)

So to sum up... Is going from 20W to 60W enough to get a considerable difference in volume? Has anyone tried any of the amps I've mentioned? Does anyone have any other recomendations in that price range?

Thanks! :bassist:

+1 anything in the 50-100 watt and 1x12, 1x15, even 2x10 range will sound like a real bass amp. Best to pick based on how YOU think it sounds, though. But those "mid-sized" combo's are all pretty cool. I have 3 different ones, and like the Ampeg BA112 best.

The Peavey mentioned above will run you $299~ if you are willing to spend $349 I would highly recommend the new Fender Rumble 150. I'm not sure where they get the 150 watt rating because it is rip snorting loud and sounds spectacular. You could own this amp for the next 10 years and not apologize to anyone about your bedroom amp~ & gig the heck out of it too. Here's a link:
