Looking for a new live bass tone!!

This is the bass rig I'm using. I'm working on trying out new tones with all the stuff in my rack so I was wondering if you guys could share with me your secrets to a sweet tone with what I have in here.

Ampeg b2r-e amp head
362 Bbe sonic maximizer
Dbx 266xl compressor/gate
Tech 21 sansamp pedal

Thanks!

if you presented me with that rig to use on a regular rock gig, i would take the 1/4" out from your sansamp pedal (BDDI, right?) and run it into the power amp in on the back of the B2, bypassing all of it.

What's so wrong with the B2R to get that sort of reply? ( I haven't played one )

I too would ditch the compressor and maximiser, but the tech21 pedal might be used for an effect or boost. Which one is it?

Nothing is inherently "wrong" with the B2R, but it is definitely not Ampegs best sounding amp. The BBDI is a better sounding preamp to my ears, so I would simply bypass the preamp in the B2R and use it as a power amp.
