Looking for a simple phrase recorder

Good evening all,

I guess the title really says it all...I'm looking for a simple phrase recorder for se at home for practicing. I'm starting to get into soloing and improvisation, and I'd like to be able to record a simple baseline over a drum loop, record the line, and then have it play back while I solo over the changes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also, if there's something different that I should be doing other than what I described above, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

ditto is super simple interface, almost too simple for my tastes. the line6 looper is very friendly if you don't mind spending a bit more. can't recommend the digitech ones for ease of learning to use, though they sound just fine.
