Looking for advice on video instruction recording.

Hello everyone! First time poster here. I've recently been bitten by the acting bug so to speak, and am interested in recording technique instruction/song tutorials. I was hoping to receive some advice in term of what methods of recording are preferred, as well as any tips one might be able to provide. Thanks very much!
