Hi all, I know this is a new account but I'm not new to TB. Just couldn't remember my old log-in and frankly, I like this username better. Anywho... I have a Wyn fretless 6 and since my Christmas bonus just came in, I would like to find an amplifier/cab combo or stack to really make that bass shine. I currently have a rackmount SansAmp RPM (or is it RBI? can't remember...) going through a Crown power amp that feeds into either a Fender Rumble 410, a newer Acoustic BN210, or a Traynor 2x10 and 1x15 depending on how I'm feeling. It kinda works for the metal project I'm in but, I don't know, I feel that my badass bass deserves a similarly badass rig. I spend 90% of my time noodling at home but that metal gig requires volume. Two competing guitarists with 120w tube heads in a tiny basement practice space.... I've always had my eye on tubes myself (SVT, Meatsmoke, AD200B, etc.) but I've managed to keep GAS away for so long I'm not sure what's what anymore. I would appreciate a little nudge in what direction to look or at least ideas for something to try out. Budget is $3k, absolute max for head and cab (if I need to spend that much). SVT CL CLASSIC AND SVT 810AV been seeing more and more of this setup being used in live concert, TV performances recently; seems to be making an unexpected comeback.
Should be able to work a deal to get your 3k max.

Thanks for the reply! I've managed to find a few used amps semi-local to me (SVT-CL and AD200B mkiii), might be worth checking out over the holiday break coming up.
I would absolutely check out the Mesa TT800 amd Subway 215 cab. That combination is small, light, and deadly. The head has two separate channels. The Boogie channel will get gooey (warm) and aggressive. The Subway channel offers you an entirely different tone with the flip of a switch or the tap of a toe.
The 215 cab is simply amazing. The volume it puts out is ridiculous (especially with 800W on tap from the TT).
