it seems that the options that come with the headphone jack are small combo amps which are not really that powerful. I want something small, around the 300w-500w range head and cab or if theres's a combo out there that I haven't seen it's ok too. I'd be playing a Warwick Thumb 5 and I am looking for an amp that will deliver the sound of the bass. I need it to be small since I live in an apartment and, 100% of my playing will be in my apt and during evening hours when everyone else is sleeping. (I don't have a band, don't do gig's so I don't need all that power, but I want to be able to crank that up whenever I would be home alone, and enjoy the distinctive sound these instruments give. I was looking at the Markbass Nano Mark 300 Compact 300W, and the Markbass Ninja 500 but if I'm not mistaken these do not come with headphone options.

I'm new to these types of amps and gear. are Class D amps better than A? what is the difference? If you don't mind me asking.
A an option, you should check out the Elf, it has a headphone jack - I play Warwick Thumbs 4 & 5 and a couple of Corvette 5s... Pretty happy with this little amp for practice and rehearsal.

Class D amps use a "power module" instead of large, heavy transformers found in Class A amps, so as a result, they are small and portable instead of large and heavy. Class D amps can offer excellent power and tone in a smaller package that's easy to take wherever you go. Some "sonic aristocrats" prefer Class A amps, but honestly, if you took the Pepsi challenge, you wouldn't know the difference. They are a great value and probably your best choice IMO if you are new to amps until you cut your teeth. I'd look for one with a headphone jack, output to FOH for eventual gigs, aux in for jamming along to an audio source at bare minimum. My TC has a mute switch and a built in tuner which are nice extras.
