Hello!
Not sure if this is the most appropriate forum in which to post this thread, but here goes nothing!
I purchased a Jazz Bass kit a while ago and never quite git around to working on it. Now, I'm planning on using it as a modification/experimentation bass.
I'm looking at wiring up a custom control set up on it, but don't really know anything about wiring instruments. Therefore, a basic guide going through all the connections would be a bit helpful.
I'm hoping to replace the bridge pickup with a MM-style humbucker, and possibly recess the neck pickup further into the body to get it out of the way a bit more. I was also hoping to do an Active/Passive bypass on a Push/Pull volume knob if possible, but, again, I'm not quite sure how all the part work internally.
I'm assuming that Push/Pull pots have two separate circuits built in them, but I don't know if they can be entirely independent.
The only wiring information I've so far found in my approximately 5 minutes of research are complete wiring schematics for standard set ups, but nothing for the internals of each part to allow me to design my own.
Thanks for your time!
