I have an old Kona bass, one of the oldest models that looks like Warwick.
It’s a solid playing bass but lately the preamp is doing some odd things. Currently only the low and mid controls do nothing. Only the high eq works.
Everything looks good in the control cavity, no loose wires, and have replaced the battery a couple times.
I’m starting to think that the preamp circuitry may be the culprit. If there is any additional troubleshooting, I’m will to give that a try.
Also if anyone has tried a new preamp in one of these basses, I would love to get your opinions.
