Double Bass Looking for luthier in Vermont

Hello,

I recently re-located from Minneapolis to Vermont for a gig on the road. I am looking to have a new bridge installed, soundpost, probably dress the fingerboard etc etc. I have been bringing my bass to the same person in MN for years now and want to find somebody who really knows what their doing. I try to stay away from non-bass specific luthiers, but understand I might not have that luxury unless I venture into one of the larger cities in the NE.

Any suggestions? I am in the Hartford VT area, hopefully trying to travel less than 125-ish miles one-way, but open to all ideas.

I would recommend Warren Ellison (802 899-2118) in Jericho, VT (near Burlington). He is not a "bass specific" luthier, but is an experienced, skilled, and careful stringed instrument builder/restorer/repair person. He has done the work you describe on several of my basses and I have been very satisfied with his work.
