I am strongly considering a Maruszczyk Jake P bass, and I want to get as close as possible to the sound of a pre-CBS Fender P. I know I might get some flack for this, but I have not found any of the company's official clips, as lovely as they are, to be especially convincing in this regard. I understand that my ideal sound is typically valued at over $10k USD, but I am simply trying to come as close as possible.
I would love anyone with a Maruszczyk that sounds anywhere in the ballpark of a 65 Fender P to post or pm me any sound clips... I would be super appreciative, thanks!
