looking for new 5 string bass

I've been playing the bass for nearly two years and I bought a fender affinity 4 string jazz bass last year october, but I'm looking to buy a 5 string. I'm looking for something in the mid ranged price and I've seen quite good stuff about the Squier vintage modified 5 string jazz bass and the Peavey cirrus 5 bxp. I play stuff like jazz, gospel and soul, what are other good basses?

There's a VM P5 out now. It's worth taking a look at.

I played a cheap ESP loaner for a few days this summer. Felt and sounded way better than I would have expected.

A Yamaha BB425x will run about $500 or 600 new, and they're fantastic. You can probably find the prior model, the BB415, for around $300 or so used - keep an eye on the classifieds, there seem to have been a few Yammies there lately.
