Looking for new Multi Effects pedal

My old ME50b got ganked and i miss it, and i have yet to find a pedal easier to use then it.
I bought a Zoom B2.1u and really hated it, it's going back.

SO i'm looking for more to try

Thinks that are important are ease of use, sound, usefulness, features and the like.
I'm not a individual pedal kind of guy i'd just like to have everything there in my face ready to go.

So, in turn whats everyones opinions on
Boss ME50B
Bass PODXT Live
Boss GT-6B

Which one of these is the more bang for the buck?
Like i said if the setup is anything like the Zoom pedals please let me know.

Have you seen the Boss GT 10 B? It is Boss' newest multi and it looks to me to be the easiest to setup. Sets up like stompboxes. I know this ones not in your list but you might want to check it out.

Hope this helps.
Later, R

Wow that puppy is new, can;t even find a review of it, looks interesting to say the least. Personally i like knobs but the UI on that think looks top notch.
I'd have to see some reviews on it, for 500$ it better be fantastic.

There are some videos on Boss' Site and Youtube. I think they have been released, so you might be able to find one to check out at a local shop. IMO reviews are subjective anyway. What is useable and cool to me may not be the same to you. If I were you I'd look for one to see up close and personal.

HAHA that looks cool as hell, Need to see about trying this sucker.

I just bought a used Sansamp Bass DI from MerryGoRound. I haven't had too much time to try it out since it just arrived before lunch, but I was really digging the sounds.

There are tons of reviews for this unit on harmony-central, and my only regret is not getting it earlier. I once had a bassist highly recommend the unit to me, but I chose to let it simply pass through my simple brain. I needed somebody hitting me in the head and saying "Should had a Sansamp BDDI!".:hmm:

Nothing gets easier to setup than the Boss ME-50B. In both that it easy to get started with it AND that it is easy to really get the best tones you can out of the system.

That said, I'm not sure how much your into tweaking. You could go all day tweaking a Line 6 Bass PODxt Live or AdrenaLinn III/Roland FC-300 setup.

If you're looking for good tones fast and in your face, I'd say the ME-50B. If you're looking for something more tweakable but still easy to use, I'd say the Line 6 Bass PODxt Live. If you're looking for super tweakable I'd say AdrenaLinn III (with the 10-stomp, 2-expression pedal Roland FC-300 MIDI controller).

Well i couldnt figure out how to make a new thread cuz im a noob. But i figured my question would kind of fit in here. My question is if i obtain a gr-20 and the midi pickup for my bass could i use either the usb port or the midi out through a midi sport as a midi controller in Reason 4. If so I would never have the need to purchase a bass pedal again. So as you can see it is quite mandatory for me to get an answer to this question.

I wouldn't buy a podxt live unless you use a variax. I've got one and if there's one thing I've learned about line6 is that they don't do as they say. If you're using only the effects then it's a good pedalboard. If you're going to use the amp/cab modelling, then get ready to read the manual and start from scratch because the presets are atrocious. There is no way professional bassists designed those presets. NO WAY!!! it didnt take me long to figure out why they only left one bank open for saving presets....they knew once you heard the factory ones, you would erase them all and voila...16 banks of empty room! Another note...I have had issues with the podxt switches during live performance. They are simply too tight a fit on that pedalboard. You've almost got to tiptoe to make sure you're hitting the right switch. I dont know maybe I have big sloppy feet. I would go with the Boss GT6.

I have a GT-6B, very similar with the ME-50B, or so I think. I think I am using mine similar to what you did. I basically set up 2 user banks with clean (no anything turned on), and have been changing the 4 patches in each bank so that I have a few options to use. There are a fe GT-6B users on here that I have heard from. To me the OD/Dist was not what I am looking for, but I just found the Blues Driver on there and it seems to give me the light OD that I am looking for. I am just starting to play with some of the other effects.

I would love to get a GT-10B when the price comes down for the looper play with, and the one part of the 6B that I thought it had but doesn't. A line in so that I can play with songs into headphones. :hmm:

But other than those 2, once I started clean and twiddled the knobs I have been liking it more than I thought! I would like to take a look at that new Zoom B9-1t or whatever it is. :)
