I am looking for a new 5 string and I am stuck between the Lakland 5501 or the Shecter Stilleto Studio 5. Anybody have any strong opinions one way or another to help persuade me?

Awesome build quality, great sound and theyre inspected at their Chicago shop before sent out to dealers.
I have played both, and preferred the Lakland. To me, the Lakland had better sound, feel, and construction.
ok, well I am going to go for the Lakland 5501, I played the Schecter up at GC, and really liked it for the most part (string spacing was a little tight). Great tone, but I was playing it through a Trace Elliot which can make any bass sound half way decent. I got a local bass shop that has a 5501 up for $699, I will see what kind of deal I can make with them. GC wanted $649 for the Schecter. Thanks for your opinions.
