I recently acquired a Rogue LX200B that a friend asked me to fix. I'm about $50 into new parts, and the bass itself is in stellar condition.

Since I knew nothing about these basses before, I did some research and discovered that they aren't exactly the most sought-after units on the market. I do like the style and weight of it however, so I've decided to mod it. (I'm pretty sure one of the pickups is smoked anyway..)

I'll be converting to a through-body type bridge for better sustain, but I don't have any idea as to what kind of pickups I should throw in given the style I'll be playing with it. It will be tuned low, and I'll be playing hardcore with it (think Reveille, Slaves on Dope, old Diecast..)

I'm not afraid to alter the body, and I am electronics savvy, so any feasible suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Well, if money is no object or worry for you, you could stick a set of EMG pups in there, probably a TW in the neck and a DC in the bridge. Hook those up to a nice 3-band preamp, and you'd have a lot of tone options available to you.
