Looking for string suggestions

I keep wanting to try pressure wound but haven't yet. I generally use DR Hi Beams, but have a set of Ken Smith compressors I've yet to try, I've read good things about them.

I have a Sub RAy 4 with Rotosounds on it. Sound is cool, but the drag i feel at my finger tips is bugging me.

Can anyone suggest a smoother fast string for the SUB?
how old are your rotos?

In my experience, Rotos actually aren't very grabby----once they break-in. Fresh from the pack? yeah, they bite at your finger tips. 10 days later, not so much.

However, if you want a sound reminiscent of the stainless Swing Bass 66 Rotos: you can Try Roto's own nickel plated strings (nickel plated SB66 or "Rotobass" strings). Dunlop "super brights" nickel plated version also have a rotosound-like quality to their tonality. Yet, they are a pretty smooth playing string and they are more balanced that Rotos, which is nice.

I'm having the same experience as Torkk. Love the RS sound but I can't slide very well. I'll give them some more time.

Go for Stadium Elites. I find the 100 gauge the best. This has literally become my go too string for all genres, they last quite a bit too. I've tried them all...Ernie's, rotos, d'addarios etc and many more of the more 'common' brands and none of them get close to the tone and feel for me.

The only one i'd settle for would be maybe 105 d'addarios if the string was out of stock for some reason..

Well, I slapped on the DR Pure Blues 45/105 and love these friggin strings. Nice sound and fast, I dont feel any drag even though they are rounds.
The rotos were about 3 weeks old and they actually started to chew up my frets, Im never looking at stainless steel strings again.
