Looking into new rig

Guys,

Need your advice on this.... I am looking into the Jeff Belin MarkBass combo and a another cab to go with. I play out of the X3 Live line 6 unit so I am happy with the tones I have set up. I wanted to look at Mark bass so that with this config. it is portable and enough juice with my Xe Live pedal.
Curious to see if this setup of the combo 1x15 amp and another 15 or 4x10 will be a good option. I know I will not get the growl sound like with an ampeg but the weight is a big factor.....your thoughts...

That's a high-end combo, almost too much to be using it to amplify a POD. If the Line6 has enough output to be used as a pre-amp, and I think it does, I would buy a solid cab and get a power amp (Crown, Carvin, etc..) to drive it. You will save money, get all the sounds you want from the Line6 without having to (basically) bypass the whole pre-amp in the Markbass.

If the Line6 has two outputs, the possibilities are even greater.

I just did a little research for you and this is what I would do.

Two Avatar SB12's + one Carvin DCM1000L power amp. Costs about 1000 bucks. Less than the Markbass combo but you have two amp channels now, each rated 325w, two cabs and a Line6 X3 which allows you to direct different sounds to each amp/cab.
You basically have two amps now, twice the power, and the ability to run different effects thru each cab. Chris Squire would blush.
