Looking to add another cab to Aguilar SL112

Hey TB'ers, a few months back I got an Aguilar TH500 head and SL112 cab, in large part because the rig is just so light. I really dig it but I'm missing the oomph of my Ampeg SVT rig. I'm thinking about adding another cab either to use in place of or in addition to the 112. My most important requirement is that the cab be light (bad back). Aguilar makes a 115 but it's 71 lbs. The Markbass NY 151 is 37 lbs and can handle the 500w head. Anyone have any feedback on the Markbass cab or in general about adding a 115 to a 112? For reference, I play in Soul R&B bands, rarely more than one gtr player. I'm not looking for deafening volume, just more low end power.

I would add a second matching cab. It will give you more power, and sensitivity. You can dial in more low end with out increasing your volume.

Yes I thought about that. Aesthetically it seems more appealing and those SL112s are so light. What do you mean by "sensitivity"? Thanks for the feedback.

The sensitivity of the cabs. You gain an additional 3dB from the doubling of your cabs.

Higher sensitivity means that your cabs will make more noise(volume) with the same signal applied.
You will also gain additional input power from lowering the impedance of your speaker system, by going to 2 cabs.

As CL suggests, you do not have to take this opportunity to become louder, but it will in fact allow you to have more low end at the same volume you currently have through effective use of your EQ.
