looking to build a loop pedal with blend knob

Pretty much any opamp will work. They sell a single 741 or a dual TL082 at radio shack, and the pin out is on the back of the package. I was a little intimidated by opamps at first, but after doing some online reserch and breadboarding a couple circuits, I think they are almost easier to use than transistors. For the Paralooper, two TL082's would work just right.
 
I was hoping to find a basic schematic, can anyone help decipher this? Im not very good with electronic schematics

That is a good design, slightly better than the one I used. I actually dont remember what it was EXACTLY, but it was simpler, but definitely works well. hmmm I'll try to draw it up... it would be nice if I had my other computer with me... I have an idea!
 
To revisit an old topic, ill be starting this build sometime in the next 2 weeks (depending on when i get around to it) however i, as well as my buddie cant figure out are they 10u microfarad's or 1.0 microfarads? seems like a dumb question, but its my first pedal, and i slept through electronics so..

The 10u are ten microfarad. You can probably get away with one microfarad if that is all you have.
 
The best layout I found for a looper is at singlecoil - http://www.singlecoil.com/tb-strip/tbstrip.html

I got components from pedalpartsplus and made a 5 switch looper. I didn't try to buffer it since I'm using an active bass but a good buffer can be had for cheap from generalguitargadgets. The blender circuit isn't bad but that's a lot of opamps for a simple function. If you have an active bass, you could probably get away with a standard passive blend into a single buffer. OTOH, these components are cheap and this stuff is fun to do so good luck with it!!

This blender was designed to handle anything, so it needs a lot of buffers ;) Note that I used one quad opamp to build mine, so going to less buffers wouldn't really reduce the parts total by much.

However, I also give a minimal blender that only needs one buffer (either one opamp or FET). Judging by the emails I have received (a very inaccurate measurement, but all I have) more people built the FET version than the full blown blender. The minimal blender has some limitations, but will work in the majority of cases.

So I guess I agree with you :D Especially in the active bass where you don't need the input buffer.

It's a great design when you need the extra buffers in a stand-alone blender, nice work!! If I get to the point where I need a new preamp, I may borrow some of your ideas to incorporate along side some of the tone control circuits available elsewhere on the net. Do you go by 'STM' in other forums? I found some nice tone control designs by STM on DIYAUDIO, IIRC.
