Looks like we need another build thread!

Man Greg! Your pics really show off that wicked flame top!

Totally agreed on the Candy Apple Green as a finish name, it just looks juicy!

Cheers for the high res pics, I'm really digging a zoomed in look!

And how's about a listen? It took me a sec to figure out the controls on the East preamp. They're very cool -the mids have a gain and a sweepable frequency selector knob. So what you'll hear is me playing the same riff with a slight mid boost as I try out different mid-frequency knob positions. I eventually settle on my favorite position towards the end.

And this is all done with the 3-way toggle set to "series". You can also run that single MM pickup parallel and single coil.

All in all, a very flexible electronics setup!

Per Bill's request - the bass is an E-C 5-string, and it's tuned down a whole step.

"Gadow Custom 5 Sound Clip"

EDIT - recorded direct through the REDDI, slight verb added after the fact.

Ahhhhhhh! I should have given you a heads up on the electronics, another thing of note is the bass/treble aren't exactly flat when at their center detents as they have more gain than cut, they should be slightly bass & treble boosted when set to the detents.

Fantastic soundclip, utterly killer tone!

At some point, Bill, you should share your "artist's rendering" so we can all see how close to the mark Ryan can get :) My guess is he'll be pretty much spot on.

Just wanted to bump this post up, he went a bit beyond spot on, and blew the original idea out of the water, eh?! :hyper::hyper:

Cheers dude! :)

I've been using my Roscoes on and off in an E-C setup, and really dig it for chords, and I'm often a few pitches too short on melodys I'm transposing over and it saves me dropping them a fifth or octave. Or sometimes for me its more comfortable to play things on the 13-18 range of the C, rather than the 18-24 of a G.

The tuning, combined with the Hipshot also means I can still get all the way to low C, so I'm not gonna be missing much from a standard tuned 5er either.

Originally, I was thinking of getting this as a 4 string, fwiw, but came to my senses as I realized I have more than enough 4 strings.

DUDE!!! CONGRATS! that thing looks KILLER...

Cheers dude! :)
