Looper advice please!!

So I've been GASing for a looper pedal lately. I've never even used one before...

I want to get one as a practice/song writing tool and eventually work it into live performances. I'm willing to spend some cash to get a decent one.

I've been looking at the boss rc-30 and rc-50s. Which is the better of the 2? i can get a used rc-50 for about the same price as a new rc-30.

Has anyone tried a rc-300 yet? Is it leaps and bounds better then the other 2? Worth the extra $200+??

Ill take suggestions on any other loopers as well

I'm digging the RC-50. Just got one last week and used it at a rehearsal last night....VERY cool. I found (a near mint) one though Guitar Center's used gear site for $299.

The MIDI clock from the RC-50 is being sent to my drummers click (as well as my modulation/delay pedals). I'm using an EV-5 to control the volume of the selected phrase and two FS-5U's for All Stop and Current Phrase Reverse respectively.

The sound quality is great (I'm doing Stereo in/out) and so far, it's been easy to learn. If you can find a used one on the cheap, I'd recommend it!

I also forgot to mention that i have an eventide timfactor...or at least I'm waiting on a backordered one. Would i be able to us the built in looper in a live situation? Or should i be looking into a dedicated looper?

If you can get a used 50 for near te price odf a new 30 and you can't find a new 30 for less then do so.. Loopers are cool... but for me at least it had limited practical use other than a good practice tool.. I sold mine. My guitarist has one though and he loves it and uses it all the time..
